That first issue of Ms. Magazine changed everything for me, and its influence continues to ripple through my work. I have been carrying a pile of them around with me for years, and they have become part of the work. Feminist ideas are woven into everything I do.
In the transition from a solid “good girl,” I was able to loosen up my vocabulary, and thus my life and work are liberally sprinkled with my favorite swear words!.
